Pepperoni

Pepperoni is a popular type sausage that originated in Italy and now its used all over the world particularly as a pizza topping. It is typically made from a mixture of beef and lamb, though variations exist. The meat is seasoned with paprika, chili peppers, garlic, and other spices, giving it a distinctive red colour and a spicy, savoury flavor.

The sausage mixture is then stuffed into a casing, fermented, and air-dried or aged, allowing the flavours to intensify and the texture to become firm. Traditionally, pepperoni is made in a cylindrical shape and then sliced thin for use in various dishes.
